Ace the InterNACHI/AARST Radon Measurement Pro Exam 2026 – Measure Up to Mastery!

When testing for radon, proper placement of the testing device is crucial for obtaining accurate and reliable measurements. The effectiveness of a radon test depends significantly on where the testing device is located within the home. Since radon levels can vary greatly from room to room and even within different areas of the same space, it's essential to position the device in a location representative of the living space where people spend the most time, typically in the lowest level of the home.

Placing the device in an appropriate position, away from windows and doors, and in areas that accurately reflect the home's air circulation patterns, ensures that the radon measurement reflects potential exposure accurately. This is a critical safety measure, as it helps identify whether radon levels are at a concerning level, thus prompting needed remediation actions to mitigate exposure risks.
